Running to raise funds

running[1]
A team of Keep Wales Tidy staff, trustees and volunteers will be donning their running gear on 16 October 2011 to raise vital funds to support communities to improve the quality of their local environment and help make Wales a cleaner, safer country.

The ‘Litter-ish Allsorts’ team will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon and we need your support.

Our trained staff run lots of fantastic projects in schools and communities across Wales providing training, support and encouragement to all our volunteers. KWT also provides small grants and free insurance to ensure groups have the necessary equipment to carry out all projects safely. The direct cost of the equipment and grants is in excess of £100,000 each year, for which we have to fundraise.

We all benefit from a clean, attractive environment so we are asking if you would be willing to sponsor the team and so support our activities to improve the quality of the Welsh environment.

We are hoping to raise a minimum of £5,000 but all contributions will be very gratefully received!

Donations can be made online http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/keepwalestidy2011 or cheques can be made payable to Keep Wales Tidy and sent to Keep Wales Tidy, 33-35 Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9HB.
