Keep Wales Tidy has set up a new, FREE collection and recycling scheme for companies, schools and colleges to safely dispose of redundant IT equipment.
Reasons for using the scheme
- FREE of charge for non-hazardous items
- All data is removed from hard drives using recognised software
- You will receive asset lists and certificates of data removal, destruction and refurbishment,
- Majority of processing is done in Wales.
- Employs Welsh staff to collect and process the items.
- 50% of any profit is given to KWT (environmental charity) to help them support local, environmental, community projects. You will receive a certificate showing how much you have raised for KWT – great for your CSR reporting!
- Not only diverts waste from landfill, but items are re-used where possible before being recycled.
"Real Radio Wales found this to be a useful, professional service. Previously we paid for the disposal of IT equipment. As we had a number of items following a recent PC replacement program, Keep Wales Tidy arranged a free collection, and provided us with the necessary certification. Where possible the equipment is re-used, after data is removed, and any money made goes back into the running costs of the charity and helps protect the environment". Andrew Jenkins, GMG Radio (Cardiff)
